Gülüzar Yurtttadur

Gülüzar Yurttadur was born in Ordu in 1997. Working with traditional and modern weaving techniques, including punch needle, Yurttadur focuses on a deep-rooted cultural heritage in her work. Researching Turkish mythology, which has not yet achieved the recognition it deserves in Türkiye and the world, the artist transforms these ancient stories into visual narratives. Her main aim is to reinterpret different Turkish myths with a contemporary aesthetic, bringing them to the people of today and keeping these images, which are on the verge of being forgotten, alive through art.
